ORGL 615 - Organizational Theory and Behavior

By now – I knew how to write again!  This course gave me a whole new view into master’s degree level course work!  This was the toughest course that I experienced within the ORGL program.  Not much writing but learning the proper way to dialog with my classmates through advocacy and inquiry was totally new to me as a student.  As Dr. Conners stated – we would get better with practice, and on this he was surely right!  We did.

My first grades in the course were an eyeopener to the amount of work that would be expected to be successful.  It set a new standard for me to achieve, and I sought to meet that standard.  At the end of the course, this was confirmed to me personally by Dr. Conners.

This course introduced new topics to me including organizational structures (planning, establishing, maintaining), leading team effectively and cross functionally, systems dynamics and systems thinking.

This is the course where my Team 2 climbed Mt. Everest – or at least tried to climb Mt. Everest.  Team 2 in this class may not have succeeded in the climb, but we walked away with a very cohesive team of individuals, one that I would attempt any objective with.  We are still texting in our Whatsapp texting group even to this day.

This course was very challenging but well worth the struggles to meet the requirements.

The representative artifact for ORGL 615 Organizational Theory and Behavior is our Team 2 Group Project on Mindtree.
